African_Children_StorytellingThe way in which we communicate is rapidly changing.  Traditional top-down forms of communications are breaking down while grass-roots forms of communication are becoming more and more powerful.  I believe organizations must adapt to these new forms of communications if they wish to remain relevant.

My goal is to help organizations adapt to the new social media environment.  My primary interests involve non-profits organizations, NGOs, and political campaigns.  I do, however, help small businesses develop social media strategies as well.

A little about me:

I graduated from the University of Washington with a Master’s in Public Administration 2008.  My work with social media began in the summer of 2008 when I started working for the Univeristy of Washington’s Center for Communication and Civic Engagement.  I have also done work with the Jimmy V FoundationUniversity of Washington Department of Global Health, and the Run of the Mill 5k charity run.  In addition to this work, I’ve done some freelance social media consulting for small businesses in the Seattle area.

I am currenly working on a Master’s of Communication in Digiital Media at the University of Washington.

To supplement my studies and consulting work, I am the Chief Technology Officer for YongoPal, a web start-up my long-time friend and roommate Darien and I are working on.
